OPERA RIGOLETTO "THE RIGO CASE"

Viktoria Ngtosè in the new interpretation of Verdi's opera on 26.09. on MDR

ARD Kultur is bringing Verdi's opera "Rigoletto" to television as the modern true crime series "The Rigo Case".
Viktoria Ngotsé plays reporter Franziska in "The Rigo Case", who investigates the mysterious death of the daughter of failed social media star Rigo (Michael Kessler) together with her colleague Roman (Denis "Marshall" Ölmez). During their investigation, Franziska and Roman not only uncover the entanglements of Rigo's career, but also the dark machinations of his manager Mantua.

"With this project, ARD Kultur shows that it is possible to present 'Old Masters' in a modern guise and offer a profound interpretation of a classical subject while at the same time paying tribute to the original," says Kristian Costa-Zahn, Program Director and Head of Content at ARD Kultur, describing the intention.

Will be broadcast on September 26 at 00:25 on MDR.
