Dieter Hallervorden

Dieter Hallervorden received the German Film Award for Best Male Actor in a Leading Role in 2014 for his role as Paul Averhoff in "His Last Race". He likes to call Paul "the role of his life". We would like to add to that, because Amandus from "Honig im Kopf" was another "role of a lifetime" for us and also the ex-con in "Oskar, das Schlitzohr und Fanny Supergirl" and...and...actually, he has only been shooting "roles of a lifetime" in recent years! Dieter was once the most celebrated German comedian and more people could name him than the current German Chancellor. With the first female German Chancellor, his fame was evened out for the first time. Today, it can be said that Dieter Hallervorden is the most important German character actor of his age. In 2022, he opens his 3rd theater, this time one in his hometown of Dessau, probably because he urgently needs something to do between his filming days, theater performances, managing his two Berlin theaters, reading tours, writing his books and translating French plays and attending political talk shows.
