Moments in which nothing else matters but the here and now in Niederwülst 1999. The unassuming, not too popular Simon (Tyrell Otoo) has just graduated from high school and all doors are open to him to become a successful lawyer. Just as his successful father Rainer (Benno Fürmann) expects of him. But instead of going to the law preparation course as planned, Simon starts working in the kiosk at the Niederwülster outdoor pool. The reason for his sudden change of heart is a year older than him, is called Mira (Anouk Elias) and works as a lifeguard. Simon is about to have the summer of his life - the only question is when his father will find out.
