However, the evening of the premiere turns out differently for him than expected. The anticipation of imminent fame is followed by an abrupt awakening and, as a prisoner of his own memories, he is ruthlessly confronted with reality. He is forced to realize that he is afflicted by a disease that has robbed him of any form of self-determination, prestige and social support.
