The last clapperboard fell yesterday! Since March, the first daily ProSieben series in 18 years has been produced by ITV Studios at Schloss Haniel near Cologne.
This is "The Cooking Academy":
120 episodes tell the story of the young chef Irini (Lara Kimpel), who is learning the fine art of Michelin-starred cuisine at the renowned Cooking Academy. But not only does she face tough competition at the Academy, but also unexpected emotional chaos between Chris (Brian Rosenkranz), the rebellious bad boy with a dark secret, and Rafael (Louis J. Wagenbrenner), the shy kitchen genius. Principal Felicitas Eichen (Simone Hanselmann) struggles to keep the Cooking Academy running successfully despite financial constraints - and at the same time to save her crisis-ridden marriage to star chef Alexander Eichen (Matthias Brüggenolte). How much of a personal sacrifice is Felicitas prepared to make in order not to lose both of these heartfelt projects? Can Irini stand up to her ambitious competitors? Will she get a grip on her feelings - or will they burn her fingers? And what secrets are still bubbling under the surface? (ProSieben).
