Barefoot through Australia
We are delighted that this wonderful movie, which was shot in Australia at the beginning of 2020, is finally being shown on ARD. It was Amira Demirkiran's first leading role and therefore already an exciting challenge. And at the same time, she was allowed to go to Australia for several weeks. It was an exciting and wonderful shoot. We can only strongly recommend tuning in to ARD on January 3rd at 8:15 pm:
Svenja (Anneke Kim Sarnau) and her 16-year-old daughter Kira (Amira Demirkiran) have traveled the world a lot. Svenja is a hotel manager and is currently revamping an ageing hotel in Australia. But her biggest challenge is her daughter, who has switched to complete denial and won't listen to anything Svenja has to say. Kira doesn't avoid any confrontation at school either. After another argument, Kira decides to run off to Jack (Tjiirdm McGuire). Jack is an Aborigine and Kira's only friend. Together they set off in search of their "Special Place", their own special place. An adventurous journey into the barren, deserted outback begins... (Source: daserste.de)
