The meticulous reconstruction of an exceptional situation
The TV film reconstructs the 63 days in the summer of 2015 as faithfully as possible before Angela Merkel makes her key decision on refugee policy. It looks into the back rooms of the powerful, who are above all one thing: Driven to make decisions in an exceptional situation, caught between political responsibility and the breathless pace of unfolding events. At the center of the action is the German Chancellor (Imogen Kogge).(Source: ARD)Jörg Westphal can be seen as Dieter Romann, the President of the Federal Police Headquarters, and Zsolt Bács as János Lázár, the Head of the Hungarian State Chancellery.Broadcast date: 15.04.20 at 20:15 on ARD Production: Carte Blanche International GmbHDirector: Stephan WagnerCasting: Marc Schötteldreier Casting
