Simply divine

Désirée Nick

They were icons of their time, sought-after women with style and stunning charisma. The diseuses of the golden twenties in Berlin. Then they fell into oblivion. Now, almost 100 years later, Désirée Nick is breathing new life into this glamorous 'profession', as she calls it. "I am a dazzling woman who has something of each of these great diseuses. For example, there's a touch of Grete Weiser in me, a touch of Edith Hancke, a touch of Blandine Ebinger and a touch of Marlene Dietrich. I am multi-faceted and combine them all at the same time." Désirée Nick says that being a diseuse is a great special talent that you can't live without being an original. An original Berlin genre that has fallen into oblivion. Désirée Nick has now dedicated herself entirely to it, returning to the beginnings of her career. "I started like this. I came to acting through singing. The way I'm perceived in public today only reflects five percent of my personality. As a diseuse, I can show everything that is in me, what I can do and who I am. "Before Désirée Nick will celebrate her premiere as "Die lebende Diseuse" on 11.04.17 at the Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin, she will entertain the illustrious audience as a diseuse on 15.02.17 as part of a special "aspekte" program for the Berlinale. She will sing a few songs from her program in front of the greats of the German film world, such as Volker Schlöndorff, and be a guest on the panel. "I would like to surprise the gentlemen at aspekte. Do they know Diseusen? I think I have the right panel to discuss the genre. I'm really looking forward to it!"Désirée Nick will enchant her audience with a lot of glamor, stunning music, erotic acting and ambiguous songs. How would it be if the art of the diseuse were to be associated with her again? "That would make me very happy," she laughs. "aspekte-extra. Die lange Nacht der Berlinale", 15.02.17 00:50-02:50 on ZDF "Die letzte lebende Diseuse" from 11.04.17 at the Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin
